Back in Baltimore

After a perfectly peaceful night on the Magothy River, we pulled up anchor mid-morning and traveled about three hours to the Anchorage Marina in Baltimore, one of our favorite marina stops. You can walk along the urban waterfront for hours, and there are stores and restaurants and museums within short walking distances. Unfortunately, we only had good wind for sailing for less than an hour, so our short journey here was mostly by motor.

A couple of the docks at Anchorage Marina, with Mantra on the second one (with the orange kayak)

It is sunny and hot here but there is a steady breeze from the west (although I am enjoying the air conditioning of the boaters' lounge). Stormy weather may arrive tomorrow around noon, however, so I need to purchase a month's worth of provisions this evening and tomorrow morning before the rain. We will not be in a marina in an urban area with supermarkets until we arrive in Boston for the Fourth of July holiday weekend, and we will have family aboard starting mid-June, so I need to buy more than usual.

Peter expects to be here in Baltimore only two days. We will see.
